Shaping Future Leaders through the Binah Cadet Program

At Binah, we believe that our people are our greatest asset. The 2024 Binah Cadet Program is an expression of that belief, designed to shape the future leaders of the construction industry by providing hands-on experience in an environment of growth and learning. We’re excited to announce that applications for this year’s program are open until the 31st of October. We’re looking for driven young individuals to join our team, contribute to Binah’s success, and grow their careers in construction.

The program provides cadets with rotations through various business units, including Design Management, Estimating, Site Management, and Project Management, allowing cadets to gain a deep and holistic understanding of the construction process from design to occupation.

Binah's award-winning projects and commitment to creating lifelong partnerships set the company apart, offering cadets unique opportunities to work on projects that matter. Cadets are mentored by some of the industry's finest construction experts, ensuring that every challenge is met with guidance and support.

For cadet Peter Kathestides, the sense of collaboration was a key factor in choosing Binah. “During my first interview, I could immediately sense the camaraderie between all team members. It felt like a family-oriented company, which appealed to me,” he reflects. This sense of community extends to the day-to-day experiences of the cadets. “After a long week or a big pour, having a BBQ on-site with the team is one of the most rewarding parts,” Peter adds.

With the flexibility to balance work and study, Binah's cadets are considered full-time employees, accruing paid leave and receiving support to ensure their university obligations are met.

"The university-friendly values really stood out to me," says current cadet Daniel Lazar. "Binah allows me to balance my studies with hands-on experience in the industry, providing me with both academic and practical growth."

Emmran Kammoun, another cadet, highlights the complexities of adhering to Australian safety standards as a key challenge.

"Understanding and implementing these regulations across different sites has been a steep learning curve, but it's also one of the most important aspects of the job."

Yet, these challenges are also where cadets find the most growth. As Emmran puts it, "The most rewarding part is seeing the progress on each site and knowing that I’ve contributed to that. It’s an incredible feeling to be part of something so tangible and significant."

If you’re ready to take on new challenges and contribute to a company that values growth and innovation, the Binah Cadet Program might be your next step. Applications for the 2024 Cadet Program are open now and will run until October 31st. We encourage anyone with two or more years left in their Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or Design Management degree to apply.
