2017 was a year to remember for Binah Group. We saw professional and personal successes throughout the year, as the team came together to accomplish great things for our clients. From handing over more than 160 apartments across some of Sydney’s most sought-after destinations to successfully commencing the new Western Sydney University Liverpool Campus – soon to house more than 2,500 students and teachers – we’ve achieved so much and grew closer together as a family. This month we’re celebrating the hard work of our staff over the past 12 months, detailing some of the cutting-edge developments designed and built by our team. Read on and learn a little bit about all we’ve accomplished in 2017.
One of our most successful years to date
This year wasn’t just a milestone for Binah, but also for the thousands of students at Western Sydney University. Our biggest success of the year was the successful commencement of the new WSU Campus Liverpool. The Binah family worked tirelessly to make the new Liverpool campus all it can be, leveraging our years of industry experience and strong relationships with the local Western Sydney community to deliver an exceptional outcome. This project was extremely special to us – not only did Managing Directors Amen Zoabi and Khalil Hafza grow up around the Liverpool area, both are WSU alumni and carry a deep respect for their university. This project represented a real chance for them to give back to the community and the institution that had given them so much.
Every member of the team contributed greatly to the success of the company, pitching in to help us achieve some milestone successes including the development approval, launch and start of construction of the Atrium Apartments Liverpool, development approval of Bathurst St Liverpool and Queen St Auburn, and the successful design and construct tender of The Banc Stacey St Bankstown. It was also a year of successful handovers, with the Goulburn Point Apartments and Vogue Apartments in Liverpool and The Fitzgerald in Strathfield all exceeding our clients’ expectations.
In the past 12 months, we’ve poured more than 6,900 cubic metres of concrete, and installed over 820 tonnes of reinforcement, working thousands of man-hours across projects spanning the entirety of the Sydney metropolitan area. All up, it was a banner year for Binah Group.
Bigger and more devoted to our people than ever
Every year since Amen and Khalil founded our company in 2008, the Binah family has grown. 2017 was no exception. This year, we welcomed many more talented individuals into our family, making key additions across the office and site levels of the business, including appointments to General Manager, Human Resources Administrator, Brand & Communications Manager and Financial Controller.
Despite this growth, we’ve always stayed true to the same values and culture that were put in place when we first started. The larger we grow, the deeper the bonds between our staff members get, and the stronger our dedication to our values. We understand that it takes work to forge the kind of life-long connections we have at Binah, so every new addition to our company in 2017 was welcomed with open arms, provided with the same support as any member of our family.
Looking to the future
2018 is already shaping up to be another exceptional year for the Binah family. Already, the leadership team is looking to strengthen our strategic alliances and further our accreditation, helping to position our business to capitalise on opportunities arising in the South West of Sydney. One of the highest priorities for the Group is the commencement of work on the Liverpool Central and Auburn Projects – both exciting opportunities for our family.
To better meet the needs of our clients, we plan to invest more in the people who make our business what it is. Part of this strategy is the appointment of a General Manager. The creation of this senior role allows the business’ owners greater opportunity to assist the teams and provide the leadership and mentorship required for growth and strategy, deepening our skillset and allowing us to offer more.
We are particularly excited to add a Financial Controller to the Binah family who understands the direction the Group is heading in, helping us create leverage for the entire organisation and to chart a path to where we want to be as a company over the next few years. With these and other additions to our family, Binah is exceptionally well positioned to add to the scalability of our service, allowing us to find solutions for a more diverse range of clients.
Further investment in the Binah Group’s resources will allow us to support the development and delivery of our work pipeline, ensuring we can provide an even better quality of service to our clients.
From our family to yours, Binah Group wishes you success in all of your endeavours in 2018.
